Hi, am a new sewer and I?m making the sewing machine cover from August. I?m puzzled by instruction 3 where it says to make a template of the shape of the side of the machine and add 2.5 cm?to the height and width measurement. So far, so good.? In instruction five it says to cut the template out of basal foam and add 2.5 cm all around. Does this mean that I have to cut the foam with 2.5 cm (instruction 3) added and then add another 2.5 cm to that (instruction 5)? Hoping someone can help. Marie

Sorry I didn't get to you sooner! You can reduce the size if you have the patience? I'll triple check my instructions in the future!

I used to have the 1080 machine. You can use universal machine feet on it. They always worked fine for me. :o)

I am a beginner at sewing,I am teaching myself through YouTube and reading books and magazines. How do I increase the project patterns in the back of the books by 100% 200% etc.. I do not have a printer and my local library don't understand me. Thank you

Stationery shops such as Rymans will often have copiers too, and staff who can help! If your library has a photocopier, there should be a setting on it labelled "Reduce/Enlarge" "Size" "Scale", or something along those lines, which will be given as a percentage (100% is the default value). If you wish to double the size of your pattern, set this value to 200%. If you wish to triple the size, set it to 300%, and so on and so forth. Then simply press the "copy" button as usual.
