Can you buy the material from Debbie for quilt of the month does it come in kit form 🐾
Debbie replied: 29 Dec 25 at 08:31
We've sold out of the first two batches I'm afraid, we are having new kits put together this week but will have to swap out some of the prints as the original are no longer in print, but we've tried to match colours as closely as we can...

Tried to make Debbie's Child's Cross Body bag from you tube. Everything fine but 3 attempts later and lining still not right. Can can anyone please advise me what which layout you put the lining into the bag. I was trying to see from the picture if Debbie had it horizontal or port rait but I tried both and it's still didn't fit I was supposed to be making two for Christmas gifts and so angry with myself and not getting it right for stop I've made many of Debbie's bags successfully but this little one just stumped me and I couldn't go on with it. Be so grateful if anyone could please help me with this and I will give the belated Christmas gifts thank you.
Debbie replied: 29 Dec 25 at 08:30
The outer and lining pieces measure exactly the same, 8" wide and 9" deep, so when made up the outer and lining sections are the same size. It may feel as though the lining is a bit tight when you put the outer bag inside as the outer has fleece, flap and handle to take into account, but push all this inside the lining and the top of each section will be the same. Hope that helps!

can anyone locate the crows foot on the new 2026 quilt blockplease. Also the block shown on the front page under the cow doesnt seem to be on the finished quilt.
barb replied: 21 Dec 25 at 08:54
I think the block under the cow on the front page is the block under the cockerel on the full quilt. But the photo under the cow only shows the centre of it. This same block I think is the crows foot.

Hi looking to get a new sewing machine my old one is a 30 year old Jones and the last time it was serviced he advised to get a new one, I don't use it enough to warrant spending more then £300 But would like it to auto thread, have a digital stich length and a auto cutter would be nice Any suggestions?
Ali replied: 23 Jan 26 at 23:46
I bought a brother sewing machine for £300 from Sewing Street a few months ago. If you buy direct from Brother it costs a lot more about £800. It is the Brother Makers Edition FS250ME. Great machine. Does everything you have asked for and more. It has 250 different stitches too. Comes with a walking foot and many other feet too. It’s perfect for beginners and advanced. It has an instruction book that is very user friendly. I can’t rate it highly enough. I’ve always had a Brother and they’ve never let me down and their customer service is exceptionally good.

Hi can someone please point out where the bumblebee is on next years quilt as I can not find it May need eye test 😁
barb replied: 19 Dec 25 at 08:14
I think its honey bee rather than bumble bee. Its the name of a quilt block. I think Its the one to the left of the dogs towards the bottom.

Hi will I still be able to access the block instructions templates etc if I don't buy the fabric bundle? I want to use a pink colour pallet. My first quilt and I can't think of a better quilt for Olivia especially as her mummy Is a Veterinary surgeon. Thank you xx This was answered in respect of colour pallet etc but will i be able to access the written instructions and templates, as I may be a "slow coach" in my sewing speed. As it would be my first quilt.
HYSC replied: 16 Dec 25 at 14:58
Hi - the BOTM quilt stays up so you are able to refer back and work at whatever speed you like!
