Armchair Caddy

Looking for something to store all your sewing notions or TV remotes in the living room? Here is a handy over-arm chair or sofa caddy to store everything in!

There is a ‘dish’ for threads and spools, three pockets for things like scissors, patterns and remotes, and a matching pincushion that can sit in the dish where it is easy to reach.

The instructions are for using a fabric that works well either way up (non-directional).

TIP: If your fabric has a distinct direction, join two pieces together with the print in opposite directions before cutting, so that, as the fabric drapes over the arm of your chair, the print will be facing upwards on each half. To do this, cut two pieces 11 x 12in (28 x 30.5cm) and, taking a ½in (1.25cm) seam allowance, join them, right sides together, along the top of each piece, to make one piece 11 x 23in (28 x 58.5cm). Then follow the steps below.

Finished size: 11 x 23in (28 x 58.5cm)

Note: The seam allowance is ½in (1.25mm) unless otherwise stated.
