About Corinne Lapierre
Corinne Lapierre studied Fine Art in France before moving to the UK to study Fashion Design. After working as a fashion designer for a few years, Corinne studied millinery, through which she fell in love with felt and its many qualities. In 2009 Corinne started her own craft business as a felt maker, and her company, based in Leeds, UK, now sells an expanding range of craft kits and patterns designed for adults and children. Corinne lives in Yorkshire with her three children and two cats. She was awarded Best British Brand in the Craft Business Awards 2021 and has sold a number of best-selling books. You will need:
Equipment
- Hook and loop fastener
- Scissors (paper, fabric and embroidery)
- Pen or pencil
- Embroidery needle
- Pins
- PVA glue
Materials
- One 19 3⁄4 x 11 3⁄4in (50 x 30cm) piece of brown felt
- One 6 x 6in (15 x 15cm) piece of beige felt
- One 9 3⁄4 x 8in (25 x 20cm) piece of yellow felt
- One 4 x 1 1⁄2in (10 x 4cm) piece of green felt
- One 6 x 4in (15 x 10cm) piece of teal blue felt
- One 8 x 4in (20 x 10cm) piece of dark brown felt
- One 1 1⁄4 x 3⁄4in (3 x 2cm) piece of white felt
- One 2 1⁄4 x 2 1⁄4in (6 x 6cm) piece of dark grey or black felt
- Embroidery thread in brown, yellow, green, black and blue
- One piece of 1⁄4in x 9 3⁄4in (5mm x 25cm) ribbon
- One piece of 4 3⁄4in (12cm) length of thin leather or waxed cord
- 70g of batting (toy filling)
