We've teamed up with toymaking pro, Kathryn to bring you Elsie Mouse!
Kathryn Ross is a well-loved designer and maker who has been busy crafting since she was a child. Based in her studio in Norfolk, you can find her impressive craft kits – including Elise Mouse! – over on her Etsy page CottonFairyUK. Originally training as a sculptor at the Royal Academy, London, Kathryn then moved onto designing and making bespoke wedding dresses, before making project kits and patterns.Kathryn says...

This super cute felt toy is so fun to make and you can even craft her different outfits. Below we guide you through Elsie's body, her skirt, dress, jumper and even her knickers! - Carefully cut out the pattern pieces with craft scissors. Place them on the fabrics as shown and pin in place. Cut out pieces.
- Use a single thread, knotted at the end unless the instructions specify a double thread.
- Because the pieces are very small you can press flat with your fingers instead of pressing with an iron.
FINISHED SIZE: 6in (15cm) tall.

- Pins
- Craft scissors
- Small sharp sewing scissors (scissors that are only used for fabric so they remain sharp)
- Ruler
- Iron (optional)
- Knitting needles
- Two sewing needles
- Safety pin
Materials
- Grey felt for the body
- Pink felt for the ears
- 8g of toy stuffing
- Pink and black embroidery thread
- Patterned fabric for the skirt
- Thread
- Two pieces of elastic
- 7g of 4ply wool
- One pipe cleaner
