Notebook Cover | Easy-Sew Project with Downloadable Templates

With space for two A5 notebooks and with three pockets and a button closure, this personalized cover is invaluable for your sewing notes or sketching materials.

This padded sleeve is designed to protect your notebook. It can hold two books, or you can use one section for patterns or papers. It also has a handy pen pocket on the back, plus two small pockets inside, making it a stylish, functional accessory for sewers on the go!

Fabric choices

I’ve used natural tones for my fabrics, but pretty pastels or bright prints would also work well. The appliqué on the front offers the ideal opportunity to use up small scraps of treasured fabric leftovers.

Make it your own!

  1. Add as many extra elements as you like: lace trim will give the sleeve a vintage feel.
  2. Embroider a name on the cover to make it personal.
  3. Use the sewing-themed appliqué on the inside pockets – and on other sewing projects too!

By the end of this project, you’ll have:

  1. Got the look of free-motion embroidery without actually doing any!
  2. Learned to appliqué the easy way.
  3. Sewn neat scallops.

You may also like:

  2. Quick and Easy Fabric Bowls
  3. Practical Bag Organizer
