Quick Make: Glasses Case
Very easy |
Quick Links: What you'll need Project steps
Make a speedy glasses case in minutes!
About the project
We're getting set for summer here at HYSC. This sunglasses case is really quick to make, is a great stashbuster and a warm weather essential too! Now, we don't have to wait for the sun to shine to have all the sewing fun, this case is perfect for reading glasses too and makes for a super thoughtful gift for a friend. Why not make it in their favourite colourway or embroider their initials?
What skill level is this sewing pattern?
This is a beginner-friendly “quick make,” and shouldn't take you more than 20 minutes to stitch!
Debbie's Top Tips

- I've secured the side of the case down with a button, but you can also use a dot of glue to keep it extra secure

- Sewing machine or needle and thread
- Pen or pencil
- Scissors
- 505 Spray
- Ruler
- Iron
- One 8in x 7in (20.25cm x 17.75cm) piece of outer fabric
- One 8in x 7in (20.25cm x 17.75cm) piece of lining fabric
- One 8in x 9in (20.25cm x 22.75cm) piece of fusible fleece

What do I make next?
There are now plenty of other speedy projects to choose from. Why not make a selection of handbag essentials to go alongside your new glasses case? Try our super quick coin purse or our pull-out key holder. We've even got a book cover to try! These all make excellent gifts – and can be made at the last minute for too!
