About the project

This DIY fabric clip hanger is a must-make for all crafters! It's super speedy to stitch, easy to personalize and becomes a very handy tool in your sewing room. If you've got lots of leftover fabrics, it also makes for a great stashbusting project too.

I've included the measurements of my cut fabric below, but you can adapt the pattern to suit you! (see video).

Note: use a ¼in (5mm) seam allowance throughout, unless otherwise stated in the video.

This is a beginner-friendly “quick make,” and shouldn't take you more than 20 minutes to stitch!

You will need:

Equipment

• Ruler
• Pen
• Thread 
• Scissors 
• Sewing machine or Sewing needle
• Iron (for pressing)
• Spray starch (optional)
• Tweezers

Materials

• One piece of top fabric, measuring 6 x 7in (15.25 x 17.75cm)
• One piece of backing fabric, measuring 6 x 5.5in (15.25 x 14cm)
• One piece of fusible fleece, measuring 6 x 5.5in (15.25 x 14cm)
• Four strips of fabric for the flaps each measuring 10 x 2in (25.5 x 5cm)
• One piece of ribbon, measuring 12in (30.5cm)
