A bound hem is one of those small details that makes a big difference – giving you a clean, professional finish and the chance to sneak in a fun contrast fabric.
Jenniffer says: "This is one of my favourite ways to finish my skirt hems. By using a contrasting fabric to create the bound hem, you can add a pop of colour and a super clean and stylish finish to your skirt. The bound finish can be used on a straight or curved hemline – all you need to do is use bias binding (you can make your own or buy ready-made). Before cutting your fabric out, you will need to add a 1.5cm (⅝in) seam allowance to your hemline."
