Hi is there a video tutorial on small square handbag it came as a kit thank you
Laura replied: 25 Jun 23 at 20:57
There isn?t a video for the small square bag kit that had a bamboo handle. I have made it and the instructions were very clear. If you have not got the bamboo handle with the kit Debbie explains here what you can do to make an alternative handle https://www.debbieshoresewing.com/shop/books-haberdashery/bag-making-accessories/small-square-bag-instructions-and-pattern-download/

I have noticed that you can no longer see the name of who has submitted a photo since changes have been made to the number of member pictures that can be loaded to projects. Is this something that could be changed please as it is nice to see who the owner is? Many thanks.
Laura replied: 23 Jun 23 at 13:52
Yes the names are there now. Thank you

Help!! Please can someone help? My eldest granddaughter has asked me to make the christening outfit for her first son, my third great grandchild. The making is not the problem, its the fabric! She doesn?t want silk or anything lacey. Any ideas please lovely members?
Laura replied: 19 Jun 23 at 19:41

Hello. I have not been about much these last few weeks but can anyone tell me where I can get the pattern of the two bags Debbie had behind her yesterday when she was showing the new handles. Many thanks Suzanne.
Laura replied: 19 Jun 23 at 16:39
The bag patterns are all available on Debbie?s You Tube Videos and Lives from recent weeks. Some of the patterns are from downloads from debbieshoresewing.com so although Debbie explains the techniques used you may need to purchase the download for the sizes, patterns and instructions. Hope this helps.

This may be a stupid question but here goes, I am a bit behind on the BotM quilt (up to date on the blocks but behind on joining them together)...so in joining row 2 (April's instructions) it llists "one 2?in x 44?in (6.25 x 113cm) strip of backing fabric, or back sashing fabric ? to achieve this length, join shorter strips as above" but the only joining of shorter strips (above) I can find relate to batting but I'm guessing I am missing the "above" instructions as I was thinking of joining on a 45 degree angle just wasn't sure where on the strip would be best to make the join (as my back sashing fabric measures about 42" in width so a join so close to the end wouldn't work I am guessing. Sorry for the ramble but I just can't see the "as above" for looking, please help! Thanks in advance!
HYSC replied: 23 Jun 23 at 12:57
Hello - we have the following advice for this "If you need to join strips to create the longer back sashing, cut two strips of fabric long enough for the required length, plus 1/4 inch seam allowance. With right sides together, join the two strips along the short sides and press the seam allowance open." We will update the instructions!

Hi everyone, I am trying to make the dog door stop. I have had a trial run with some poly cotton. But it was too flimsy. If I use crafting cotton or fat quarters would I be better to interfacing it first ? I also used a more open weave fabric for the gusset. But that just kept fraying and stretching. Thank goodness we can learn from our mistakes. Well try to learn !! Xx
Lesley replied: 16 Jun 23 at 12:17
Hi Laura, many thanks for your reply. I have cut out another dog door stop in thicker craft cotton I am hoping it ok. If not I will try your idea. Have a good day. And enjoy this beautiful weather xx

I think this May have been asked before but not too sure. I want to save some of the projects, especially the returning ones and/or the ones that are being taken down. Rather than print them out, how do I save them? Thanks !
Christine replied: 15 Jun 23 at 12:46
Thanks Barb but it?s how to download and where it will be on my phone that is the problem. Also, never seen the QR code which ironically I find easier to comprehend.
