Could someone advise what size piping to buy for piping around cushions, bags etc.? Thanks
Laura replied: 25 Feb 23 at 12:50
I think the 18mm contains the 5mm cord and the 15mm contains the 2mm cord so it depends how bold you want the piping to be.

Is there a pattern for a dress for PJ so he can have a girl mouse
Jilly - (FB Wispa Labrador) replied: 24 Feb 23 at 08:49
Ohhh... a big bow sew on her head by her ear (like minnie mouse) That would make her super girlie.

How do I trace Maddie?s face, I don?t have any special gadgets Thanks
Denise replied: 14 Apr 23 at 09:40
One idea is to take a lamp and put it inside a largeish plastic bin and then use that a bin as a makeshift light table. You've probably made your doll already, but this might help someone else.

Has anyone out there made JP in a fleece material. If so, did it come out OK - I thought it may be a bit thick. thank you - Anita x
Megan replied: 22 Feb 23 at 20:50
No worries. I used cotton for mine and still added 1/4 inch because i wanted it to be quite thick and not ratty lol.

HI I'm new to this lovely club and bought maddies book. I have been collecting materials to make her, the only thing I'm missing is the yarn for her hair, any suggestions of where I can get it from and what is the best yarn to use.
Julie replied: 22 Feb 23 at 15:36
I used some double knit from Hobbycraft and it worked fine for me. Although I wished I'd used slightly more than 50g suggested. My first Maddie is my practice one for me.

Hi regarding January's block of the month... When tracing the design onto the interfacing which line do you sew along. Is it the solid line or is it the perforated one. Thanks Kay

Hi, I have just purchase the new Sew Maddie book which gives the pattern at the back for Maddie. However although the face has been drawn and is for transferring on to the fabric, this may be a stupid question but how do you transfer the face onto the fabric please if you don?t have a light board? Thanks. Ali. Xx
Megan replied: 19 Feb 23 at 14:01
There are tips in the front of the book for this. I think another way is carbon paper. I have a smart sketcher so I used that (it's like a projector for art)
