Hello Lynne I generally use h640 or h630 for smaller items. You can get cheaper versions that work fine but they generally have less glue area which when making small projects can leave side edges loose if that makes sense! But I work with them to save money and use more expensive when I feel it needs it. Hope this helps.

Hello everyone please could I ask if Debbie could you do a help guide on how to sew Velcro/hook'n'loop as I'm not sure if I'm sewing it correctly, as I find the white bit is fraying badly, will it unravel completely a demo please either on a Wednesday or in your tips and techniques section Thank you Helene

Doing the craft folder can someone look at pictures and explain what I done wrong as I can?t put the zipper part 3inch from the top ? As far as I know all fabric cut to the right size

Hi all - I have spoken to our editor - and we have updated the website and instructions as follows: Materials list, third bullet up from the bottom of the "cut list", the requirements should read "Two pieces of contrast fabric measuring 15 x 5in (38 x 15.75cm) for the zipped pocket". Instructions, the requirements in step 5 have been adjusted accordingly. Thanks for raising this!

Debbie states on the Birthday Bear Project that it can be sewn by hand so maybe change him to ?Holiday Bear? and make him while you are away (smiley face).

I want to make a dress but am struggling to find patterns that go in larger sizes. I am looking for something in a 30-32. Is it possible to buy a pattern for example that goes up to a size 24 and resize it. I am reasonably new to dressmaking and not sure how difficult this would be if it is possible to do.

Looking at trying to make my own swimwear! I've never done it before, so I'm going to try deconstructing my favourite (but worn out) tankini and making a few toiles out of old T-shirts. Any tips, lessons learnt, or pearls of wisdom from anyone?
