I am in the middle of sewing with a twin needle and my bobbin has run out. Can I refill my bobbin whilst my twin needle is still threaded with one thread. It just takes me such a long time to thread the needles as I can't see them very well so hopefully I won't need to.

Hi hope you can help me please? I've seen a sewing tutorial on how to make a quilt using flannel fabric (no one of Debbie's) Please can you let me know what fabric I should use as you wash the quilt after making it and then it gives a frayed edge. Thank you Lorraine Manton
Debbie replied: 15 Oct 21 at 08:59
Flannel makes a lovely soft quilt, but any woven cotton fabric would have the same effect...

Hi I would like to make the smaller of the Dog treat bags as well as the larger one. Do you have the correct sizes for the smaller ones please? There is only the sizes for the larger ones in YouTube.
Debbie replied: 12 Oct 21 at 15:17
Try halfing the width of the fabric and zip, but I think I'd keep the same depth...

Hi, hoping somebody can help. I have an oval wicker basket that I would like to line in order to present a gift to my niece for her birthday but I need some help on how to do this please. I would like it to fit snugly around the top with elastic and maybe have a frilled edge overhanging the top. Has anyone lined a basket and could give me some tips on how to go about it please? I have left it a bit late in the day as my nieces birthday is next Wednesday so any help would be really appreciated. Thanks. Ali xx

I?ve only crocheted one, but since you?re in a rush, I would take your material and put it in your basket. Put something in it heavy enough to clip the sides up all the way around. I would then draw on the wrong side at least 3 or 4 inches above the clips to allow for hems, elastic, etc. Take out what you put in the bottom and draw around the inside of the bottom so you can add batting in it if you are using lining. I don?t know if that helps but I would do it that way OR hot glue the fabric after you have it cut out?especially if you?re in a rush. Lace, ribbons and bows, etc can hide the glue area. Good luck, Nancy Hyde

Hi Debbie would it be possible for a bat sleeve top pattern similar to the ones you wear as a project in the Half Yard Club please.
Debbie replied: 7 Oct 21 at 15:22
Hi Ann, difficult without a pattern I'm afraid but I'll put some thought into it!
